July 2015
As part of the University of Miami’s initiative to improve wireless connectivity, UMIT has updated the 802.1x certificate for the SecureCanes wireless network (across all campuses) on Saturday, August 9, 2015. As a result of this update, the way you connect to the SecureCanes network is slightly modified. You will have to accept the new 802.1x certificate presented on your Wi-Fi devices (laptops, smart phones, tablets, etc.) that are used to connect to SecureCanes. The documentation for accepting the certificate can be viewed here.
If you are having problems connecting to SecureCanes, please contact the IT Service Desk – Coral Gables/Marine: 305-284-6565 or help@miami.edu; UHealth/MSOM: 305-243-5999 or help@med.miami.edu.
Thank you.
