Cyber Bowl 2023

Help us beat FSU, UF, and other rival schools by playing in Cyber Bowl 2023!

As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month*, the University of Miami is challenging rival Florida schools in Cyber Bowl 2023, an online cybersecurity awareness game taking place on the virtual playing field. The Cyber Bowl is taking place from October 9 through October 20, 2023.

The virtual game is set up like an actual football game—each "quarter" contains one question related to cybersecurity. So, how do the 'Canes win? The university who can get the most students, faculty, and staff to participate in the Cyber Bowl wins the game.

Plus, just for playing, UM faculty, staff, and students will be entered for a chance to win one of two $50 Amazon gift cards! You don't have to answer the questions correctly for a chance to win; just play the game and finish by signing in with your University of Miami secure login. No matter what, learning more about cybersecurity is a "win" for you and for our University.

Play the Cyber Bowl 2023 game between October 9-20. Make sure to sign in with your CaneID and select UM as your college at the end of the game to ensure your play counts.

COMPETE

Ten schools are participating in this year's Cyber Bowl! The school with the highest proportion of Cyber Bowl players to its population wins.

WIN

Anyone who answers the Cyber Bowl questions (whether correctly or incorrectly) and signs in is entered in a giveaway sponsored by UM's IT Security team.

Every year, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) partner to create awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.
