Canvas Champions by Academic Area: Faculty are grouped to help you quickly connect with colleagues in similar teaching contexts and disciplines.

About the Faculty Canvas Champions

The Faculty Canvas Champions program brings together instructors from across the University of Miami who are using Canvas to enhance teaching and learning. These faculty serve as peer resources, sharing practical strategies, real-world experiences, and approachable Canvas guidance.

Faculty Champions are nominated and selected by their respective Deans in recognition of their innovative teaching and effective use of Canvas.

Whether you are just getting started or want insight from a trusted colleague, Champions can help you think through what works and how to make Canvas work more effectively for you and your students.

Work with a Canvas Champion

Faculty Champions are available to:

  • Share examples from their courses
  • Talk through teaching and Canvas course design challenges
  • Offer practical strategies for using Canvas
  • Help you think through student engagement and course organization
  • Connect you with the right resources and support
