Infrastructure and Technical Operations

The office of Infrastructure and Technical Operations is responsible for establishing, supporting and maintaining the technical infrastructure, including shared services, virtual services, and technical operations which support the goals and mission of the University.


Client Infrastructure and Support Services

  • The Client Infrastructure and Support Services unit provides multi-tier support for computing devices and peripherals for the University's network of staff, faculty, and students. Services include troubleshooting of computer-related problems, installation of new desktop computing hardware, and configuration of standard business applications and security-related settings.

Enterprise Network Services

  • The Enterprise Network Services unit is responsible for all enterprise-wide network architecture, and engineering. The unit manages, installs, and repairs wired and wireless network infrastructure throughout the Enterprise. Services include virtual private network (VPN), network uptime, network administration, monitoring, diagnosis, and repair.

Cloud Infrastructure Services

  • The Cloud Infrastructure Services unit manages private and public cloud infrastructure, which includes the installation and management of server/storage infrastructure equipment, virtual server hypervisor platforms, public cloud platforms, server operating systems, Data Protection and Cyber Recovery, and lifecycle management of enterprise applications including security updates and patch management for server operating systems.

Telecommunications

  • The Telecommunication unit is responsible for the University's telephony services, Voice over IP (VoIP), new infrastructure construction and renovations projects at an enterprise level, including the University's fiber optic infrastructure. The unit manages, installs, and repairs outside plant infrastructure and backbone cabling equipment, including low-voltage design and engineering for the University's new building construction.
