Licensed for use by faculty/staff on University owned computers only. Faculty and staff are not licensed to use the software at home for work at home purposes or personal non-commercial purposes.

FAQ

The following Microsoft (vendor: Microsoft Corporation) titles may be installed on any University owned or leased computer:

  • Office Suites: Office 2010, Office 2007, Office 2003
  • Operating System Upgrades: Windows 7 (x86 and x64), Windows Vista, Windows XP
  • Windows Server: Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000
  • Server: Exchange Server 2010, Exchange Server 2007, SharePoint Server 2007, plus others. To inquire for specific titles, contact software@miami.edu
  • Macintosh: Office 2011, Office 2008, Office 2004, Virtual PC  Version 7*

*Does not include Windows operating system Users have the option during the term of this agreement to run the most current version, or any previous version of the software, in any available language in either a Macintosh or Windows version, as applicable.

Don't see the title you need? The University has also entered into a Microsoft Academic Select Agreement covering all non-Campus Agreement software for all University schools/departments.

License Information

The University of Miami has entered into a license agreement with Microsoft Corporation titled Microsoft Campus Agreement which extends from August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2012. You do not own the license, rather you are leasing the license from the University for the term of the agreement.

Download Information

You may download any software from the Microsoft Campus Agreement, free of charge, by clicking in the box below. Before downloading any of the software, we suggest that you speak first with your IT unit contact. The download site is for University owned computers on the Coral Gables and Rosenstiel Marine campuses only. You must be in the categories of faculty (full or part time), staff (full or part time) or graduate assistant and your CaneID is required in order to download.

The University of Miami has a Special Volume License Key that will allow installations of Microsoft Campus Agreement Product. This key is available on the download page.
