Jaguar Jaguar is a UNIX academic system available to all students and faculty at the University of Miami. In addition to all the featured e-mail services, Jaguar offers other services that support web servers, application development, instructional material, and others. Users can access e-mail on Jaguar through IMAP or POP clients. The authentication process allows e-mail to be relayed through any location, including off-campus and laptops that connect to many different networks. Also TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) will ensure your e-mail is encrypted properly from your e-mail client to your UNIX server.
